SAWTELLS INLET FORESHORE RESERVE

Public BBQ

Set along the gentle waters of Sawtells Inlet, this foreshore reserve offers a proper waterside barbecue experience where the kids can burn off energy while lunch sizzles away. The location takes full advantage of its aquatic setting, positioning facilities where families can watch boats drift past and wading birds pick their way along the mudflats. The play area keeps younger visitors occupied within earshot of the hotplates, a practical arrangement that parents quickly appreciate. The reserve's position beside the pedestrian footbridge adds a touch of visual interest, with walkers occasionally pausing to survey the inlet's moods, glassy calm some days, rippled and wind-stirred on others. It's the sort of spot where a simple sausage sizzle becomes slightly more memorable thanks to the water views and the unhurried coastal atmosphere that settles over everything, particularly when the afternoon light turns the inlet golden.
